Hello, my name is Britta!

Britta is an absolute sweetheart, with a lovely disposition! She wants to please, and is very affectionate! Her foster was only going to foster her for 14 days, and then called to ask if she could foster her through her Heartworm treatment.  She said that she's just an amazing, wonderful, very sweet girl. Britta would like to tell you about herself!

Hi!  My name is Britta! I am a fine boned, really beautiful girl!  I was found as a stray, but we think I may have found an open door or gate and skedaddled out to freedom. You have to be careful of open doors and gates with me!  The world beyond just looks so enticing!  But I LOVE just being home with my person. I love toys, and love to carry stuffed animals around the house with me. I also like to grab a toy and then beg to play chase around a room.  I heel, and walk beautifully on a leash! And I LOVE children! Actually I love almost everybody! One day I got to play football with two little boys, age 7 and 10, and I loved it!  And they loved having me play with them!
I am told that I don't seem to have much prey drive...even towards cats. My foster says I am rather ambivalent towards other dogs on our walks. I just like to get on with my walk!

I have a very favorite treat you need to know about!  It's called a Yam Good, and you can get them at Walmart.  They are sweet potato wrapped in chicken, and I will do about anything to get some! I adore them! If my foster mom promises me TWO Yam Goods if I go into my crate, I dash into it! I only sleep in my crate at night, because I am housebroken, and don't chew or destroy anything in the house. I don't care for water, but for a Yam Good I will venture near it.   I do have to be in the house most of the time, as I cannot handle the heat outside. Once it cools off, I will enjoy being  in the backyard with my person a lot more. I do enjoy an early morning or late evening walk though.
Oh, I forgot to tell you!  I know how to sit and how to shake!  I am a very smart girl!  My foster has me on fish oil capsules, and my coat is gorgeous, if I say so myself!  And by the way, have you noticed my stunning tail? I'm quite proud of it!  I'm having to be quieter these days while I go through HW treatment, but my foster works out of the house a lot, so I never feel lonely. All I can say is that someone will be very very lucky to have me as their girl!
