Hello, my name is Cosmo!
Underneath everything, my foster mom says I am SPECTACULAR! I have a beautiful head, gorgeous eyes and great bone structure. Unfortunately, the people who originally owned me didn't much care. They didn't spend any time with me when all I really wanted was to be somone's best friend forever (BFF) and constant companion. But it wasn't to be and being so alone made me feel very unloved and insecure. And without any guidance, I didn't learn any doggie social graces. However, my luck changed when GHGSD rescue took me in.
I have never in my life felt so special, even without a family of my own. And I now have a foster Mom. I'm not sure what that first word means but the second word means I have a home and someone that cares I exist. She's teaching me not to jump on her and respect personal space...I never knew. She's also teaching me there's no need to be jealous when my foster sister GSD gets attention. In fact, my sister GSD has taught me how to run and play and wrestle in the back yard. I never even knew what toys were and now she shares all of hers with me! It's a blast.
I typically spend the day in my crate when Mom's at work. I'm ok with that. In the evening we hang out and at night I'm allowed to be loose in the house. I'm a really good boy. I don't disturb anything. Not even the cats. Did I mention we have cats! Five of them =:O. I am fascinated by them. I love herding them, but I'd never hurt them. Fortunately for me, they are use to dogs and don't pay much mind to me. Sometimes my GSD sister, the cats and I even get in bed together. Can you imagine that? I get to climb into bed with everyone!!!!!! My foster Mom is just fine with that as she says good dogs deserve to be spoiled.
Pretty soon it will be time for me to find my forever home. I still have an important hurdle to cross - heartworm treatment. After that I would be a perfect jogging partner, as I am big and athletic. I would love a family that has active kids that I could romp and play with. Did I tell you how kind I am? It would be best if they weren’t too small because I am still working on my manners and sometimes forget about personal space and how big I am. However, if the right family is willing to be a little patient and help me get to the finish line (get healthy, gain weight and finalize my social graces) they will find an unbelievably gorgeous and devoted dog waiting for them.
