Gabbi is a puppy, so must go to a home ready to deal with puppy behaviors.
Hi My name is Gabbi!
Sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what this little girl is made of! Gabbi is an extremely affectionate and playful girl. She loves to nuzzle her nose under your arm and burry her head in you, so that just her ears just stick out. Gabbi will stay in that position, patiently waiting to be petted. Being young, Gabbi is extremely lively and spunky. She gets along beautifully with the three GSDs and cocker spaniel in her foster home. She loves romping and playing with her foster siblings every chance she gets. Gabbi keeps up with the big dogs, sometimes giving them a run for their money! She loves using her paws in play - swatting at things like a cat. In fact, when she wants attention from her human, she will wrap one paw around their leg and hold on (sometimes when she has you in this position, she'll even start licking your toes!). Gabbi loves to go into stealth "kitty" mode with her playmates, slowly creeping up on her victim and suddenly pouncing on him. It's really cute to watch her play.
It is very evident that Gabbi has been abused. When she first arrived at her foster home, she was very hesitant and scared of her foster daddy, but she has proven to be very resilient and has begun to trust him. Gabbi has been fearful of loud noises in the house - cabinets closing or doors shutting. She seems to be adjusting well and discovering that she has nothing to be afraid of. Children seem to bring out the best in her -- Gabbi absolutely comes to life around her foster parent's three year old daughter! If Gabbi were to live in a home with children, she would need training and supervision so that she can continue to learn boundaries with little ones (no jumping up, no mouthing). Gabbi is young, so it will take time and patience to work through her puppy behaviors and teach her manners. Our guess is that Gabbi is going to be a small German Shepherd, probably growing to be no bigger than 50-55 pounds (and that's probably being generous!).
If you are looking for a young, affectionate and lively girl, then Gabbi could be your perfect match. Fill out an adoption application and you just might get to take this sweetheart home!
