Hello, my name is Gracie!
Gracie is a petite and gentle sweetie with a happy, loving disposition. Her beautiful shiny black and amber coat is the sleek kind and sheds less than most German Shepherds. She is confident, likes to play, and has good manners, although she is quickly learning about not jumping up if she gets excited or meets someone new. Gracie knows basic commands and is very cooperative. She pays close attention to her people and obeys right away if she understands. When her foster dad was replacing a big section of fence he told her to stay in the yard and not go through the holes. Gracie stepped away from the fence gap immediately and stayed away all day with no reminders! Gracie's foster family has discovered that she does not bark needlessly or for a long time. There is a cat in her foster home that Gracie is curious about but she doesn't want to hurt it. One of Gracie's most endearing qualities is the way she will softly climb up next to you on the couch and just lay there, quietly content to be touching you. She's a great foot warmer and would be happy with a family who allows some couch cuddle time. This petite girl walks nicely on a leash. She plays all day with the other dogs in her home and would be a fun dog for children to have around. If there are other dogs eating nearby it's a good idea to make sure they don't eat Gracie's food because she is a lady-like eater who takes her time. Gracie takes treats gently from your hand and loves to be taught new things. She is housebroken and likes children.
