Hello, my name is Maggie!
Maggie is a cute little sable girl with a strong happy personality. She does well with other dogs, big or small. She likes to play a lot with her big foster brother and does not mind that she is a lot smaller then he is. Maggie also does well with little dogs. She managed to turn a 30 minute ride to see a foster friend into 30 minutes of fun and play time with a Chihuahua puppy. She is known to have lived with cats but Maggie tries to chase them on her walks. She does well on a leash when walked alone but can be easily be distracted when walked with another dog.
Maggie knows how to sit, especially when she is motivated by a treat, and will come to you anytime she hears her name. She will do anything for some cuddle time…or a treat.
Maggie is still working on her crate training. She will stay in the crate as long as she can see her family but hates when left alone. She sleeps in her crate at night with the door open and will come give you a morning kiss as soon as she knows you are awake. The best thing after that is to get a very long hug and belly rub to start the day.
Maggie learned from her brother that ice cubes make the best treats on the planet and will now only drink water with ice. She loves to grab the cubes from the bowl and chew on them.. If you give her a chewy bone, she will stay busy for hours. Maggie is a very sweet girl who loves to cuddle and play but also who likes some quite time by herself, lying on the cool tiles or on the sofa, watching TV. She would love to go home with you and be your very best friend.
