Hello, my name is Mona!
Have you ever been outside during a terrible thunderstorm? I can tell you from first hand experience it is difficult to live through one when you are all by yourself. When it happened to me recently, I was so thankful a nice lady heard my cries and rescued me. I don’t know what I would have done if I had to endure it any longer. She dried me off, gave me something to eat, and loved on me. I really enjoyed all three, especially the “lovings”. This nice lady is now my foster mom and we reward each other every day with an abundance of love and affection. She even lets me get in her lap on occasion, which is heavenly. I love being close. I also want everyone to know that, even though I didn’t like being outside in a thunderstorm, I am not afraid of them.
From my pictures, you can see that I have a beautiful face with a dark, shiny, black saddle. What a gorgeous girl I am! And, now that I am safe, I am starting to relax and my inner beauty is really shining through. I have a very gentle personality and will even let you take things out of my mouth. Do you like fussing with ears? Well, that is one of my most favorite petting activities. What I wouldn’t do for an ear massage! I love playing with toys and my favorite game is “fetch the ball”. And, guess what? I even bring the ball back! I must have had some retriever genes in a past life.
I enjoy walks and already know not to pull and tug. Walking on a loose lead is preferable, don’t you agree? As for other basic commands, I know how to sit and shake and respond well to the word “NO”. Even though I have a good start, enrolling me in an obedience class would still be a good idea.
If you are looking for a loving companion who is sweet and gentle, I suggest you ask for me immediately. I know you’ve probably heard about the saying “diamond in the rough”. Well, where I’m concerned, there is no “rough”. I’m a pure diamond!!! Hope to see you soon.
