Hello, my name is Rayne!

Hi, my name is Rayne!  When the nice people at Greater Houston GSD Rescue heard there was a lovely little girl in Louisiana in need of a new home, they arranged to have me brought all the way to Texas so they could help me find my new home.  I am a true Southern belle – I always sit with my back legs folded politely underneath me, and I take treats very gently from your hand.  I’m smart, too – I figured out how to unlatch the seatbelt buckle in the car within five minutes of my first car ride!  My foster mommy said that was okay with her, though, since all I did afterward was rest calmly on the back seat.  I didn’t know much about living indoors when I got to Texas, but I’ve been learning quickly.   I will respect baby gates in my foster mom's house.  I crate really well and don’t whine much while in there. 

I've learned many commands - sit, down, come, watch me, leave it, shake, and loose leash walking are a piece of cake for me.  I can even hold a "stay" for just about a full minute.  I am fully housebroken and had only one accident since I came home, and that was weeks ago.  I am great with verbal corrections; a gentle "no" will stop me in my tracks every time!  I want so very much to make you happy, and I love to come sit by you for some petting!  I love other dogs and seem to be okay with cats - I'm interested in them, but not in a "Look, there's dinner" sort of way.  I am not living with any children, but I am not bothered by sudden movements or loud noises, and I don't mind one bit if you hang all over me, so I'd probably love to have kids around.  Oh, did I mention I'm a real looker too?  I don't wanna brag, but my foster mom says I am gorgeous.  If you are looking for a sweet, outgoing, happy dog, I am the girl for you!
