Hello, my name is Roxy! 

I am a sweet young lady of 2 years with a big heart and a strong mind. I absolutely love children. The foster home where I received some basic training has an 8 year old, who I shower with kisses. He does not even need to wash his face in the morning after he gets up.

I get along with the other 3 dogs that live in the foster home, 2 Beagles and 1 German Shepherd.  Sometimes just like little kids during play, one pushes too hard but we make up fast. 

My foster home believes I was left outside all the time, so it was hard for me to relax inside until I learned the do's and don'ts of the house. Man, humans have a lot of rules.  Good thing we German Shepherds are smart!  The upside to being indoors is all the human attention. Being alone outdoors does get lonely. I now love to cuddle with the humans and when I do, I get so excited my teeth chatter!

So do you think you have what it takes to get my teeth to chatter? Roxy is a wonderful family dog. She does need  someone with strong leadership skills who will strengthen the bond through daily walks. She responds to soft verbal commands and sound corrects very well. Taking Roxy to a training class would benefit her future. Roxy is crate trained, and now knows basic commands. She pulls on a leash a bit but she is a dream on a gentle leader! Her social skills have improved very rapidly and her fur has gotten so thick and soft! She is a very sweet girl!  Roxy is a beautiful girl who has had a hard life!  She was dumped at a dog dumping ground in Houston off 59 near Little York known as The Corridor.  We worked with many volunteers from four rescue groups and several shelters to get this girl. They are working on getting help for all the dogs. Roxy was taken to Harris County where she had her shots. She has been spayed, and is HW +. She is a very sweet, friendly, confident girl, and is good with other dogs.
