We think she would do better in a house instead of an apartment or townhouse.
Hello, my name is Tara!
Tara was found wandering around alone in a neighborhood. A lady took her in, and posted a notice at the Petco where one of our volunteers is a trainer. In the meantime, Tara lived in the lady's garage, and never disturbed anything or had an accident. Our volunteer went to meet Tara, and came to the conclusion she has spent most of her life tied up outdoors. She had nicks and scrapes on her legs and was very thin. She thinks that Tara got loose during the hurricane and was on her own until she was found.
Tara has an outstanding temperament! She has a take-charge attitude and is very perceptive. Our trainer said she would trust this dog with her life! She is okay with older kids (12 years and older) and other dogs. She rides beautifully in a car, crates well, and is very affectionate. We just can't say enough about her temperament...she is a beautiful, wonderful dog, and just needs to be in the right home.
We will know more about Tara once she is in her foster home. If you would like to foster or adopt Tara, please fill out our online application.
