Spring
Hello, my name is The Princess!

Look at me!  I am The Princess.   I was dropped off at a local shelter with my seven puppies who were all adopted.  Now it's my turn.  A home where the people are gentle and kind would be good because I am making great progress with getting over a fear of men and am still a little scared someone is going to hit or kick me if I make a mistake.  I'm one of those special dogs with striking dark and light contrast.  Most people like to tell me how pretty the mark on my forehead is.  I am a year old and behave very much like a playful puppy.  Play?  Did someone say play?  I love to play!  One of the best things about this foster home I'm in is that there are lots of toys.  Toys are great!  If I don't have a toy I might find something that isn't a toy and play with it, so there are toys everywhere here.  Another good thing is that I have a foster brother who is also playful.  This is helpful because I have lots of spirit and energy and can be enthusiastic for a long time.  When someone starts to pet me, however, I calm right down and stay very still so I can soak up all the love you have to give.  It only took a week to housebreak me.  I also already know some basic commands and am a very fast learner.  In my other life I had no training at all but now I know many things.  My foster family enjoys teaching me because I catch on to everything very quickly and pay close attention to them when they ask me to do something.  If you want to do obedience training I'm your girl!  We could practice walking on a leash because I'm not very good at that yet.  I am light positive for heart worms and will start my treatment when I have recovered from being spayed.   I stay in a crate if my people have to go out.  I don't bother the cat at all and I like other dogs.  When someone gives me a treat I take it very gently.  I am a loving beauty who can handle lots of attention.
