Hello, my name is Zach!

...and I'm special.  I'm a Perfect Puppy.  I am 4 months old and, like the typical puppy, I am totally cute and cuddly.  But it takes more than cute and cuddly to be a Perfect Puppy.  Even at my young age, I am so well behaved.  I'm not much of a chewer and I know almost instinctively what I can chew and what is off limits.  I am very bright and very willing to learn.  In fact, I've already begun to learn the most important puppy command there is, "NO".  (Boring!)  I have an easy going personality and  I'm typically, Happy, Happy, Happy.  And even though I like to play hard and then rest hard, I am not overly active. 

Because I am such a Perfect Puppy, I am generally left to wander the house.  I sleep through the night, which is a big plus with a puppy.  I do have one small problem, and it's a little embarrassing, so I'm going to whisper...  My bladder is small and I don't quite grasp the concept of waiting until I'm outside...sh-h-h-h-h...  However, as you would expect of a Perfect Puppy, I am making good progress in this area.  I am beginning to ask to go outside when I need to relieve myself - and I usually do my business.  Sometimes I can't help myself though, and I use this as a ploy to get outside to play.....<sigh>.  After all, you didn't think I was that perfect, did you?

As a Perfect Puppy, I will be a "snap" to train.  I have a strong desire to please.  My ultimate goal is to be your constant companion.  When I walk with my people, I like to focus on them and do just exactly as they want, so I will be continually looking back to you for direction.

I love other dogs and cats but sometimes they aren't so crazy about me because I like to play a little more than they do, but I'm never aggressive and I'd never hurt them.  I know I'll be crazy about kids because they like to play too, but as a young puppy, I will need to be supervised.  And, I love, love, love to swim.  I learned it in a flash.  If you have a pool, that would be a plus!  My cutest trick is to swim into the arms of my foster mom and let her hold me while I snuggle.  Isn't that cute?  Perfect Puppies have a high cute factor, you know!

Right now I have a great foster family but I would really like to grow up with my forever family.  Because I am such an easy-going puppy, the perfect forever family for me is really anyone who will be able to give me the time that I deserve to go from being a Perfect Puppy to a Perfect Dog.  If you are reading this, maybe you are my Perfect Family.  I hope so.
